London-based · Volunteer basis, with a small fee possible per event · Ad hoc (directory-based) · FORE MEDIA / Event
The role
Every FORE event needs someone capturing it properly, photos and video that actually look like FORE, not generic event coverage. This isn't a fixed weekly role; it's a directory of trusted photographers and videographers we call on event by event, brief beforehand, and bring in on the day.
We're looking to build a small, consistent pool of people whose visual style we know and trust, so events start to feel connected to each other rather than every recap looking different.
How it works
You'll be added to our Events Content directory. When an event's coming up (420 Mag, tournaments, art shows, Carnival Party, FORUM IV), we'll reach out to whoever's available, brief you on the specific event and what we need from it, and you shoot on the day. No ongoing meetings or planning work in between.
What you'll do (on the day and after)
Shoot photo and/or video coverage of the event:
- Keep a consistent visual style across events, so FORE's content feels like one world, not a different look every time
-
Turn footage/images around fast; this is the part we care about most. Recap content needs to be ready while the event is still fresh, not two weeks later
- Build a close working relationship with the Social Content Manager and Instagram/YouTube Managers, and deliver content in a ready-to-use format.
What we're looking for
- Own kit preferred
- A clear, consistent eye; we want to recognise a FORE event from the way it's shot
- Genuinely fast turnaround; if you tend to sit on footage for weeks, this isn't the right fit
- London-based, able to attend in person on the day
- Understands the culture-led aesthetic FORE is going for, not standard corporate event photography
Commitment
- No fixed weekly requirement, no regular meetings
-
A pre-event briefing ahead of any event you're covering
-
Attendance on the day, plus a fast post-event edit and delivery turnaround
What you'll get
This one differs slightly from our other volunteer roles: depending on the agreed deliverables and turnaround for a given event, we may offer a small fee rather than this being purely voluntary.
This will be agreed upfront per event, not assumed. On top of that, working events with FORE builds toward a reference and accreditation over time, and it's a strong portfolio builder if you're trying to establish yourself around culture and events photography/videography specifically. Travel is covered for any event you're briefed in for.
How to apply
Send us a short note on who you are, a link to your portfolio or recent work, and your general availability across weekends and evenings. Turnaround speed matters here as much as the shots themselves; feel free to mention how you typically handle same-day or next-day delivery.
To apply, please send an email to Info@fore.uk with the ‘Application:[Job title]’ as the subject along with your CV and any evidence of previous work or relevant experience.
